Post: After 9/11, I was very pleased to find the country united and the red, white, and blue was flying proudly everywhere. As time has eroded those sentiments, lethargy and self-hate have filled the void and people now openly despise their country with flag burning and the like. Stories like this one of a Nebraskan Vietnam veteran fill me with hope and pride. Don't assume it's up to others to teach your children about love for one's country.
