Post: Last night I was awakened by the sound of a text on my phone. When I saw that it was a FB message, I opened it find a pleasant surprise. A former childcare student was letting me know that he always looked forward to coming to my "camp" as he called it. He was always excited and had a great time. He also thanked me for giving him the confidence to talk to other people. He wants to stop by soon for a visit. What impact I had on this young man I'm not sure, but he gives me credit for bringing him out of his shyness. When we encourage children to speak and talk to others, they overcome their fear and begin to enjoy the exchanges. I'm so happy to have been a part of this boy's life in a positive way. What a great future we'll have when we help children find their voice!
