Post: These days it seems that everyone is demanding their rights. People are complaining about what they're owed and what they didn't get. An undeserved sense of entitlement permeates our society and particularly the younger generations. All of this whining produces the sounds, reminiscent of little children who don't understand the meaning behind gift giving. What is the opposite of entitlement? Assuredly it's self sacrifice. During this time of year let's not forget who set the ultimate example in life and death; the reason we celebrate Christmas and not commercialism. God sent His only Son, Jesus, cloaked in human form to be a sacrifice for all people. The grace that we didn't deserve and the hope of humanity rests in a child born lowly and placed in a manger made for animals. Rejoice, rejoice the Savior is born! And as the great hymn goes: "Amazing grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me!"
